Sound of Joy Vol. 2: Energy, Community, and Six Bands at IFI Bandung

Pride N'Joy reignited its love of musical exploration with Sound of Joy Vol. 2, held on 15 February 2025 at IFI Bandung. After the warm response to the first edition, this second installment carried a fresh wave of energy to music lovers in Kota Kembang.

The bill ran six acts deep and refreshingly diverse, featuring Sunbath, Grief., Maio, Amerta, The Cottons, and Jirapah. Each band brought its own color, from heartfelt indie rock to electrifying hardcore and metal. From the moment the doors opened, the anticipation was palpable, and the intimate room at IFI proved the perfect place for that energy to flow between the stage and the crowd.

More than a concert, it was a space for a growing community to feel at home.

Sunbath opened with a strong alternative-rock set that established the mood for the night. Grief. and Maio followed, bringing the raw, aggressive intensity of hardcore and lifting the crowd with them. Amerta took over with a powerful metal set that pushed the atmosphere higher still, before The Cottons brought a nostalgic, 80s-inspired change of pace. Jirapah closed the night, their indie-rock melodies wrapping everything up on a high note.

More than a concert, Sound of Joy Vol. 2 was a space for musicians to celebrate creativity and for a growing community to feel at home. The exchange between artists and audience felt genuinely personal, an experience beyond simply watching a show.

With two editions now behind it, Pride N'Joy continues to build Sound of Joy into a platform for musical appreciation across genres, one that we believe can travel well beyond Bandung. Follow @pridenjoyco to stay close to the next chapter. See you at the next edition.
